Free, Plus and Pro

What each plan holds, the Pro tools, the three devices a paid account may use, and how the assistant's monthly allowance is counted.

The palette, the update set tools, dark mode and the panel are free. Plus adds the everyday paid tools and room for more of what you keep. Pro adds the assistant and the tools that read a record's history, and new features reach Pro before the other plans. Prices are on pricing.

Every limit on stored things is a check in the database, not in the extension, so no client can step past it. An account above a limit after a downgrade keeps everything it has, and is refused only when it adds one more. The refusal says which limit it hit, in a sentence, rather than as an HTTP code.

The paid tools

Each shows a lock card in its place when your plan does not have it, with what it does and the plan to upgrade to.

Everything Plus has, Pro has too.

Stopping a recording that is already running never asks for a plan, so nobody is left stuck in one.

A new tool can arrive marked as early access: then it is in Pro alone for a while, and its lock card on Plus says so, before it opens to Plus as well.

The extension learns your plan from the server, keeps the answer where the page can neither read nor change it, and fails closed: if the answer cannot be had, the tool stays locked.

Upgrade opens the pricing page already signed in, using a one-time code in the part of the address no server sees. Manage plan opens your billing page on the site the same way, and that is also where Plus and Pro switch: moving up charges the difference for the rest of the period, moving down leaves it as credit on the next invoice.

Monthly or yearly

Plus and Pro can be paid by the month or by the year; the switch above the plans on the pricing page shows both prices and what a year saves. A switch between Plus and Pro keeps the period you are on.

A monthly plan moves to yearly from Switch to yearly on the billing page. The year is charged at once, less the part of the month you have not used, and the plan renews once a year from that day. A yearly plan runs to the end of its year; to go back to monthly, cancel its renewal and subscribe monthly when it ends. Within 14 days of buying a plan or moving it to yearly you can cancel it for a prorated refund, as the service terms say.

On yearly Pro the assistant's allowance is still counted by the month.

A paid plan on three devices

Plus and Pro belong to devices, not to whoever has the password. A device is one installation of the extension.

  • Three are registered at most. A fourth is refused until you remove one under Account on the site, which you can do twice in any thirty days.
  • Two hold the plan at once. A third is told the plan is already in use on another device, and can take it with Use it here. The device that used it least recently loses it at its next check. That can happen five times a day.
  • A new device may ask for a code. Signed in with a password, a device the account has not seen must confirm the account's email with a code first. Send a new code sends another, at most once a minute. Social, passkey and code sign-ins, and devices already known, never ask.
  • An unused device drops off by itself after sixty days.

The card never names your other devices. The list, with Remove, is on the site under Account.

The assistant's allowance

The assistant is Pro's. On Free and Plus its launcher is not on the page at all, the panel shows where it is instead of answering, and the server refuses a question from either before anything is spent.

On Pro, every model call is priced on the server from the tokens it used, with cached input at its own lower rate, and added to your month. When the month is spent the assistant refuses until it resets, or until you buy more for that month.

What the browser can learn is a percentage and nothing else. The settings page shows it under AI as a bar: how much of the month is used, when it resets, and a reload button. At 100% the bar turns red and offers Buy more usage, which opens Account, Usage on the site.

The Pro trial

A trial code, redeemed on the site under Account, Redeem code, turns Pro on for five days. Every Pro tool and limit comes with it, the three devices included, and the badge reads TRIAL instead of PRO.

The assistant comes with it, with a limited amount of usage for the whole five days, counted from the moment the code is redeemed. What the account spent before does not count against it, and a new month does not refill it.

When the five days end the account is on Free again, with nothing to cancel. Each account can have one trial, and only an account that has never had a paid plan can redeem one. Plus or Pro can be bought at any point during the trial.
